WYSE International (www.wyse-ngo.org) will soon be hosting an International Leadership Programme in São Paulo, Brazil, from the 28th December 2008 to 8 January 2009.
WYSE International aims to inspire new thinking about global problems and global citizenship through the development of a unique international learning community. This programme will focus on experiences that help identify personal values and guiding principles to gain a sense of purpose and life direction, enabling participants to make a positive contribution in their communities.
WYSE believe that every person has the potential for leadership. Leadership is an expression of our willingness to engage in the issues and challenges we see around us. It is about finding creative solutions to local and global problems. It is about recognising our own potential and harnessing these qualities for the benefit of ourselves and others.
Applications are open to anyone between the ages of 18 and 35. The programme will be conducted in both English and Portuguese. For more information about the programme, and to apply, please contact brasil@wyse-ngo.org

Have an interest in global issues, and a keenness to become part of an international learning community that has the power to effect change.
- Are aware that to be a change-maker, self-development, meaning, purpose, values etc and unlocking their own personal potential.
- Are looking for direction and guidance as to how to make important decisions about their future and how to make a contribution in the world.
- Are willing to look at their personal values and how these affect their decision making and purpose.
- Are willing to take risks and look at things from alternative perspectives. Are flexible and open to new ideas
- Are willing to engage in new methods of learning including activities such as personal reflection and mindfulness, creative exercises, problem solving and group discussions
